The Princess of Wales’s visit to Caffarri

"We can't make children learn, but we can let them learn" Alison Gopnik

Remida, the Reggio Children Foundation’s Creative Recycling Center, welcomed Kate Middleton on a tour dedicated to the relationship between sustainability, education, and creativity—a relationship that takes shape every day through materials, relationships, and processes.

We designed these spaces with the aim of preserving the site’s industrial heritage while creating an environment capable of supporting diverse, creative, spontaneous, and unpredictable uses. Surfaces, furnishings, and layouts were designed to leave room for exploration, make materials accessible, and facilitate hands-on activities.

The visit was an opportunity to highlight the educational experience that comes to life in this space every day.
