Colorway

Design competition for urban regeneration and environmental redevelopment works in Via Milano in the city of Chiari

Competition promoted by the Lombardy Region
to improve air quality
as part of the “STRADE VERDI” (GREEN ROADS) call for proposals

The ‘COLORWAY’ project aims to transform an urban street into a linear urban park, thereby redeveloping a long stretch of the suburban hinterland and revitalising its environmental and social connotations.
Reimagining and reconnecting access to the city through a lush, attractive and safe area; 1,800 metres of vibrant pedestrian and cycle paths with high visual and functional impact.

THE COLOR OF TIME

a long, seasonal time, showing how the nature that surrounds us has its own duration and circularity;

a short time, every 200 meters (about 2-3 minutes on foot) you enter a different environmental and chromatic mapping, the color tells the story of nature and guides you, giving you a sense of the temporal and physical distance of the space;

finally, free time as a regenerating moment to be experienced in contact with nature.

The “Colorway” represents a true urban oasis that stimulates individual and collective well-being, with the aim of improving the quality of life of citizens through direct contact with nature.

Colorway is an experiential trail that can be walked in 30 minutes and allows visitors to observe how the colors of nature change over time.
